From unused back steps to intimate food & flower destination, this project showcases what marrying the client's personal style and working with existing space can create. Copper planters left to patina create a stunning focal point that speaks deeply to the client of her photographic practice traveling the world and creating art from the details of rust and time that she finds. This part-shade space blends ornamental plantings and edibles nestled amidst the kitchen garden just steps from the back door. Camellia, Japanese Maple and perennials create a timeless palette and powder-coated aluminum planters line the patio to create privacy. Here becomes an extension of the home and a brand new room to enjoy.
